Why we aren't sustainable

We are not sustainable. New production of things simply can't be. Hopefully one day, we can innovate our entire commodity chain and somehow extract the CO2 we pollute- but that's just another empty promise. For now, our focus is on long-last and practical qualities.

 

Most used fashion

Socks and underwear are the most used items in a wardrobe, they are often used daily and washed after every use. And although it is often unnecessary most people will wash it on high degrees and even tumble-dry them.
We're happy to make socks, because it is important for women's overall wellbeing; and because it is one of the few items, that are most likely to be used until it is worn out. 

 

Egyptian cotton

We have chosen Egyptian Cotton, because of it's natural softness, longer fibers, breathability and sturdiness in use and wear. which means that ir require less to soften it. It is one of the most sturdy, yet soft yarns- which means that it is perfect for socks, because if people forget the washing instructions, they will still keep shape after a wrong wash.
Other fabrics like wool, tencel or bamboo are more sustainable to produce, but they do not last as long and if washed wrong once it can completely destroy the shape, design and size. We mean that the entire life of a product is much more important in terms of pollution.

 

Socks a necessity 

Socks is a necessity not a luxury. It matters every day, that you're comfortable. If you have cold feet and your brain is in fear-mode, it will have negative consequences all around. It is one of the few items you can't buy second hand, because it is mostly worn out. It is important for the wear of your shoes, it can make a difference for different type of skin- and foot- diseases, make us use less energy on heat. 
We love socks, because we believe it is the most important part of our wardrobe and for our happiness!
