Story of Socksgasm

It all started with orgasms. One day a young Scandinavian girl at University read about the science of orgasms, for... uhm… free-time activities. She stumbled upon a study where women were much more likely to orgasm if they f*cked with socks on.

She tried it once and was forever enchanted, it was a magic spell, and an easy sex accessory. She told all her girl-friends and strangers at parties, and she a positive feedback-loop occured.

Unfortunately, she could not find any socks that were both practical, warming, breathable AND sexy designed. All she could find was polyester and nylon socks that kept her feet cold, and her sweat trapped or boring cotton socks, her grandma could have worn. She started to wonder, why does warm feet make such a difference for women to reach orgasms?...

She fell into the science-hole of feet, socks, body temperature and the difference between men- and women’s bodies. The more science she read the more perplexed she got of how the socks industry seem to have neglected or not cared for science about women’s bodies. She realized how the temperature on her feet seem to impact EVERY aspect of her life. Her career, sex and dating life, sleep = everything seemed to be affected by her temperature.

Cold feet activate the fear-part of the brain, even if you do not notice, it will affect you all around. Here’s what she found out. Cold feet negatively may impact especially for women:

Perceived productivity

Sleep length and quality

Ability to reach and if reached the length and quality of orgasms

The best way to regulate individual body temperature is through the feet she found out, so socks’ both design, use and quality became the biggest priority in her closet. Since men are 15-20% bigger than women; women are more sensitive to thermal pain (unpleasant temperature), socks are an essential tool to regulate your body temperature, which will affect your overall well-being.

It’s been a long journey for Socksgasm to perfect the designs, and make sure it still regulates temperature, is breathable and make them as long-lasting as possible. That is why we ended up with Egyptian cotton. The natural softness of the fibres combined with a longer last against use and wear.
